The Senator for Economy and Ports (SWH) will act as the TIDE project coordinator for Bremen, It will contribute with the know-how about legislative framework, maintenance and compensatory measures.
The Senator for Environment, City Development and Europe (SUBVE) will be responsible for exchange of experience with management practices, the running of the local estuary working group, the development of criteria for impact assessments as well as aims and visions for the estuary (esp. Natura 2000) and the implementation of the pilot measures.
Niedersächsischer Landesbetrieb für Wasserwirtschaft, Küsten- und Naturschutz (NLWKN) is involved in various coordination and implementation tasks, i.e. the assessment of the environmental status of the estuaries and development of citeria for the common definition of aims and vision for the area especially according to the requirements of the WFD and NATURA 2000.
University of Bremen, Faculty of Geology is involved in education & research on sediments and their management.
